For any jewelry removal.  Always, always use care and be gentle.  Don't pull your jewelry off, especially important for beaded stretch bracelets. Gently roll the bracelet over your hand to wear and roll off to remove. If you can't do that, the bracelet is too small. Pulling and stretching it may break it. Always measure your wrist before purchasing bracelets to ensure a proper fit, and safe removal.

Silver and Gold filled Jewelry Care

Please follow the care instructions for Pearl Jewelry, as a lot of our Jewelry is also made with Pearls. If you have a Silver piece of Jewelry please care for the product following Silver Care protocols.

  • Always remove your jewelry before exercise, swimming or bathing. Swimming and bathing with your Gold filled or Silver Jewelry can cause dulling of the shine, or worse, loss.

  • Only use a safe and gentle Silver jewelry solution for cleaning your Silver Jewelry. Use a Jewelry shining cloth for touchups. Sometimes that's all you need. Follow the instructions for the particular product you use. Never use harsh, acidic, or scrubbing products on any of our jewelry products, as they can damage jewelry.

  • Please remove your jewelry before going to bed. You may snag it, and cause pulling and possibly breakage.

  • For Stainless Steel Jewelry, please follow the same instructions, even though Stainless Steel Jewelry is very durable, and tarnish resistant, following good Jewelry Care practices will ensure the beauty of your Jewelry for years to come.

Gemstones

  • Please use care when cleaning a beaded Gemstone Necklace. It should never be submerged in water or any cleaning solution. This may damage the wire or silk thread that your necklace is beaded onto. You can gently clean the metal parts with a soft jewelry cloth or a mild jewelry solution on a damp soft rag. Always gently clean the jewels on the necklace with a damp or dry jewelry cloth. Water may be all that you need but don't soak the jewels. Some jewels will get damaged if submerged. Try not to tug on your necklace.

  • Always remove before exercise, swimming, and bathing and bedtime.

  • Keep your jewels in a soft jewelry pouch if you must remove them on the go, and safe from being smashed. Keep them in a soft jewelry storage box at home. if you have gemstones and silver, keep them in a jewelry box, to lessen air circulation and silver tarnishing. A piece of jewelry made with gemstones, not including Pearls, and either Silver or Gold filled can be kept in an airtight bag and stored. Just be sure it's gently wiped of debris like sweat, and body products like lotion and thoroughly dried before storing.

  • For Storing any hand knotted (Silk thread) Gemstone or Pearl Jewelry, please lay the piece flat in a soft jewelry box for storage. Hanging a knotted necklace will cause the thread to stretch over time and increase the need to have your necklace restrung. Never store any of our jewelry in a place where it is sitting in the sun, or exposed to water, or sitting in water, like a bathroom counter.

Pearl Jewelry Care

A lot of our jewelry is made with freshwater pearls. Pearls are durable however the nacre (the shiny natural coat) on a pearl can get scratched, and since pearls are a natural material, they really need to breath a little. Here are some tips for your pearl jewelry.

Storage

Store your pearl jewelry lying flat in a soft section of your jewelry box. Preferably a box lined with a soft material like velvet. Lying them flat, especially if they are knotted onto silk thread, will keep the necklace from stretching out. Over time this may occur anyways but hanging up a pearl necklace for storage will cause this to happen faster. Keep your pearl necklace in a safe place away from water. Water can damage the material your pearls are strung onto, like silk thread or even metal cord. This will cause stretching at the very least, so tempting as it is, don't store your pearl necklaces or earrings in your bathroom. This is a place where they can get wet and damaged.

Keep your pearls stored away from other jewelry, at least where other jewelry won't scratch your pearls. Lastly, don't store pearls in an airtight, plastic bag. This is tempting, however, pearls are a natural material and they by nature contain a small amount of moisture. Keeping them in an airtight bag may cause dullness.

Cleaning

A damp soft jewelry care cloth can lightly clean and shine pearls. That may be all you need. Be sure to dry them lightly with a dry soft jewelry cloth. You will never want to scrub your pearls with anything abrasive. A weak solution of warm water and a little bit of a mild dish soap can clean any sweat, makeup or dirt from your necklace. Be sure not to wet the cord. just lightly and gently clean the pearls and rinse, then pat to dry with care. Do not scrub the pearls, don't use an ultrasonic cleaner, with any harsh chemicals like bleach, vinegar, baking soda, juices or any jewelry cleaners not meant for pearls. Check labels. Never submerge your pearl jewelry in the water.

If your jewelry is made up of Silver and Pearls, sometimes your silver tarnishes, in that case, use a silver anti-tarnish cloth to wipe tarnish from the Silver parts of your jewelry. Keeping Silver and Pearl jewelry safe in a soft jewelry bag or in a jewelry box can slow down tarnishing. However Sterling Silver may tarnish in time due to the nature of the material and oxidation.

You will want to lightly wipe down your Pearl Necklace after a long wear. Our bodies naturally produce moisture through perspiration and so wiping and drying your necklace will keep it beautiful.

Always use your perfume sprays and finish makeup and hair sprays prior to putting on jewelry to keep the products from coating your jewelry.

Wearing Pearls

Pearls are versatile and now days they are worn with just about any style of dress, and by many people. They can be layered with other necklaces or worn alone. You can choose bright white to beige and grey to dark peacock colors. We have a variety of colors and sizes of Pearl necklaces to choose from. If you are looking for a necklace to match your wedding dress, or any other dress, feel free to reach out to us, we can customize a necklace for you and make sure that the color of the pearl will match the color of your dress. Pearls come in different shades of white. So purchasing a pearl necklace listed as "white" may not necessarily mean the shade will match the white in your wedding dress or at least look appropriate and not clash. We can even send a tester pearl for you to match up with your dress material or dress. We hope this helps and are always available.

Importantly; never wear your pearls to bed, or while doing water activity like swimming or bathing, showering. It's always best to take you jewelry off before heavy physical activity like sports or exercising. This can prevent breakage from your jewelry getting snagged on something, or prevent loss.
